During our day field study we will explore many topics discovered in class. Preparation for this field study will involve math and science topics investigated in the classroom. We will determine the forces that are present on a ride, types of energy associated with different rides at different times throughout the ride. We will calculate area, percent, velocity, rates, acceleration, average speed of rides and angles. We will use indirect measurement and the Pythagorean Theorem for some of the calculations. We will estimate and make predictions throughout the day. We will determine our pulse rate before and after a ride. We will also explore the history or Kings Island as well as different careers in the park.
