In this field study we will begin with an introduction into each students path to living in Durham and they will get an opportunity to interview their families. We will divide the community into 4 groups who will be responsible for researching 4 historical areas of Durham. We will take a class trip to the Library, where they will have a day of service also. They will prepare for their day visit to their historical location and create a presentation for the class. This is the 1st year of a 3 year long Durham Investigation. It will get built on each year they are here. We hope to implement the 6th grade portion in 2014-2015.
