This cycle of study is designed for a new middle school program. It would really be more appropriate to refer to it as Cycle 0 the first year, and with modifications, Cycle 1 in the third year (based on a two year cycle). Lessons and thematic activities were designed with this in mind, and while they may be applicable to any group of rising 7th graders, they may need to be modified to accommodate a class that includes returning / rising 8th graders.
