Secondary 1/Secondary 2 Math Guide – Part Time

Middle and High School Math Teacher Needed for 2026-2027 School Year

San Tan Montessori School is seeking a passionate part time middle and high school math guide for the 2026/2027 school year. This role will focus on small group teaching to various math levels, from 7th grade through pre-calculus.

Location: San Tan Montessori School, Recker Campus, Morrison Ranch Community. Gilbert, Arizona.

Montessori Expectations: Develop engaging lessons, facilitate hands-on projects, and encourage exploration and deep thinking about the world through a Montessori lens. Montessori framework and coaching will be provided.

Foster Independent Learners: Guide students in creating and managing their work plans and reflections. Help them develop the skills to set goals, take responsibility for their work, and reflect on their learning journey.

Mentor and Support: Understand the importance of the adolescent developmental stage and provide a nurturing environment that encourages self-discovery, collaboration, and growth.

Collaborative Teaching: Work closely with the other adolescent teachers to offer a well-rounded curriculum and foster a balanced, interdisciplinary curriculum and community.

Love and Logic Principles: Experience with or an openness to implementing Love and Logic techniques in a Montessori setting to guide students toward independence and accountability.

Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication with students, families, and colleagues is crucial.

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in education, mathematics, or related field
Must hold a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card
Passing of State Certificate Testing
Arizona State Teachers Certificate or Equivalent
Willingness to follow a Montessori model of education

Desired Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in specialized area
Montessori Certification
Three years of classroom experience
