Let's Get Started
All adult learners applying to the Secondary I-II Training Credential Program must submit a complete application to be considered for admission. In addition to the non-refundable enrollment fee, the following materials are required for application approval: a current resume, a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and an official academic transcript. Additional required supplemental documents are listed on the online application.
Both the adult learner and their administrator must review, sign, and submit the Adult Learner Agreement and the Practicum Site & Administrator Agreement forms as part of a completed application. Applicants to the Low-Residency Program must also complete an admissions interview before starting online coursework.
The process typically takes five business days once all materials are submitted. If you have the necessary documents on hand, the online form itself usually takes 20-30 minutes to complete.
Note: If you are applying to one of CMStep’s stand-alone courses for Professional Development only, you do not need to complete the steps listed above. Simply fill out and submit the CMStep Professional Development Application.

In that lies one of the greatest takeaways from this training for me: humanity. My Guides always saw me as a person first and showed an interest in caring for that person first with the coursework coming as a distant second. My students are people with complex lives and competing interests and demands on them at all times. Montessori's approach is supposed to be a holistic one, and I think that my view of education has become more holistic as well.
