In this field study, students travel along the length of a stream, conducting scientific analysis of the stream environment. They examine water chemistry at a series of sites along a local stream, look for the organisms that are living in location, and examine land use in the surrounding environment, both currently and historically. The culumination of the study is an opportunity for students to either do a stream clean-up or plant buffer vegetation.
