This first cycle for 7th/8th grade math and science is focused on building community. In both 7th and 8th grade math, units are focused on building and developing number sense, which are foundational skills in math. In 8th grade science students focus on chemistry, an important foundation of science. The focus of the thematic lessons are on building a foundation as a community.
