Fear Fest is the culminating activity at the end of a cycle study of gothic literature. I used this in combination with lessons on gothic literature and urban legends. Students read, write, and perform; they even dressed up. It was a great alternative to just saying NO to a Halloween party. It was a lot of fun to learn and they enjoyed watching each other perform.
