CMStep Cincinnati Low-Res Cohort 1 Schedule Outline

 

 

Prerequisites (completed by February 28)
  • Intro to Secondary Montessori online course (30 hours, fully self-paced)
  • Montessori Overview online course (40 hours, fully self-paced)
  • Secure required readings: 4 books
  • Admission interview with Katie Keller Wood (rolling, scheduled when application process is initiated)

Applications deadline:  February 20th

Coursework begins: March 1st 

Fully online:
  • Minimester 1: March 1- March 29 (20 hours, 4 weeks)
  • Minimester 2: April 5-May 3 (20 hours, 4 weeks)
  • Minimester 3: May 10- June 7 (20 hours, 4 weeks)

Summer break one: June 14-July 5

Summer 1
  • In person residency in Cincinnati: Sunday, July 5- Saturday, July 18, 2020
    • (14 days; room and board not included except Sunday evening July 12-Wednesday afternoon July 15)
  • Online 5-day residency 1 follow-up (20 hours) Choose one: July 20-24 OR July 27-31

Summer break two: August

Practicum Phase (Begins Fall 2020):
  • Minimester 4: September 6-October 4, 2020 (20 hours, 4 weeks)
  • Minimester 5: October 11-November 8, 2020 (20 hours, 4 weeks)
  • In person fall intensive in Cincinnati: November 19-23, 2020 (5 days; room and board included)
  • Minimester 6: December 6-20 (10 hours, 2 weeks)

Winter break: December 20, 2020-January 3, 2021

Practicum Phase Continues:
  • Minimester 7: January 3-31, 2021 (20 hours, 4 weeks)
  • Minimester 8: February 7- March 7, 2021 (20 hours, 4 weeks)
  • Minimester 9: March 14-April 11, 2021 (20 hours, 4 weeks)
  • Minimester 10: April 18-May 16, 2021 (20 hours, 4 weeks)
Summer 2 (Dates to be confirmed):
  • In person residency in Cincinnati: 8 days (not yet confirmed, but will be July 2021)
  • Online 5 day summer residency follow-up (20 hours) Choose one of the two weeks immediately following the summer residency (July 2020)

Final Synthesis Paper (Final Exam) due September 1,  2021
