Earth Science Topics:
This is a cycle of study comparing western and eastern Oregon within the science discipline, covering topics such as fossils, plate tectonics, changing topography and the resulting change in climate and weather. This cycle includes a field study to eastern Oregon where we camped for a week getting hands-on experience with the topics covered in the classroom. You could adapt the ideas to places in your own state using the backdrop of Earth Science.
