Saint Paul Public Schools designated the curriculum that we largely we’re to cover. We were supposed to cover literature this quarter as well as types of sentences. We chose to read the novel “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton as a class. We read short stories before this to work on story elements. After the novel we wrote our own short stories and shared them in a author’s circle for our culminating activity.
