This cycle is focused around the challenges of establishing and then maintaining a nation during the early to mid 1800’s. Many subgroups of America were faced with insurmountable challenges, this unit highlights several of those early obstacles (including discrimination) in American History. Students will read the primary source document: Speech at Pennsylvania Hall by Angelina Grimke. The final project centers on students choosing a topic to research for their Capstone.
