This cycle of discovery was designed for 7th & 8th grade ELA and Social Studies. 7th grade Social Studies has a focus on world history and this cycle focuses on European Exploration. 8th grade Social Studies is South Carolina history and the content for this cycle revolves around SC land regions, native american tribes, and early settlers. Both 7th & 8th grade ELA have a focus on narrative writing and the different component involved in that process (theme, pov, characterization…)
