Discovering is always – always – an adventure. Why? Because every single time we discover something, there is risk involved. Going somewhere new, discovering hidden secrets…this always means that something could go wrong. When doing things for the first time, mistakes might be made. We might take the wrong path. We might ask the wrong questions.

In math this quarter you have won a trip to travel to three different states or three different countries with a budget. You will determine your method of transportation and where you are traveling to. You will investigate if it is cheaper flying or driving to your destinations. While you are traveling you will investigate how long it will take you to get there and the amount of money you will need to spend on gas. While you are traveling you will need to ensure to abide by all of the laws and stay under budget. When you arrive at your destinations you will be examining and modifying the state or country recipes to feed an appropriate amount of people.
