Discovery is an important part of our world because it can be something as small as discovering how to tie shoes, cure cancer, or discovering new land that no one ever knew existed. Discovery, and finding something new for the first time, can be very exciting, but it can also be scary. Overall, the process of discovery, whether good or bad, is something all people experience and is something we are going to walk through together. At SMS Humanities this quarter, we will discover explorers of the past and the original inhabitants of our land. We will also discover the different parts of a narrative as well as create your own story book. We will also discover how to participate in a class seminar discussion and discover new perspectives on a text.
